An estimated 500 people attended a peaceful “No Kings” demonstration in Waverly's Kohlmann Park on Saturday, Oct. 18. Nationally, more than 7 million people are estimated to have demonstrated against President Donald Trump and his administration.

More than 2,500 protests were planned for the day across the United States and internationally. Reports are that more than 2,700 took place.

The Waterloo Courier reports that 3,000 turned out for a peaceful protest in Waterloo.

In Chicago, an estimated 250,000 protesters led a 2-mile-long march through the Loop downtown.

This was the second day for coordinated “No Kings” demonstrations. The first was June 14, when an estimated 4-6 million people took part.
