OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A Nebraska builder of non-traditional homes has left several customers with a common complaint.
They’ve seen little work after making large downpayments. After a First Alert Six investigation into one couple’s concerns, our Mike McKnight tells us more have come forward.
Near Valley, after selling their house in Omaha, Glen and Christie Groebli plan to live in a barn, but not like any with horses and hay.
“This was going to be our den, bedroom, bathroom, closet,” Glen said.
A year ago, the couple paid Critel Buildings $81,000 down for a steel-framed barndominium with only the footings poured, and that work is poor.
“Not 42, it’s only 36, so not deep enough. It’s got to be all torn out,” he said.
