OAK RIDGE, N.C. — From folks delivering food full-time to brick-and-mortar shops, many felt the sting of the Amazon Web Service outage Monday.
Although resolved now, this issue comes as a reality check that tech outages can often pause daily life.
When Amazon's cloud went down, it sent shockwaves through more than just the internet.
For delivery drivers like Brandon Hennis, who rely on apps like DoorDash and Amazon Flex, the outage meant losing hours of work and money.
"Gas ain't free, time's not free, and this is a full-time job for me," Hennis said.
Hennis has been DoorDashing for more than two years, but that came to a screeching halt with today's outage.
"I logged onto the DoorDash app, DoorDash would crash, it would kick me out the app," he said.
He's also been delivering packa
