Mumbai, Oct 21 India’s stock exchanges are changing the timing of Diwali Muhurat Trading for the first time in decades. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will hold a special trading session on October 21 between 1:45 p.m. and 2:45 p.m, marking the beginning of the new Hindu financial year Samvat 2082.
Muhurat trading is seen as an auspicious event that combines faith and finance, bringing prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead. Commodity markets will also participate in the festive trading, with the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) and the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) conducting special Muhurat trading sessions.
