SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Spartanburg County Council granted requests from the sheriff’s office and coroner’s office to apply for grants on Monday.
The sheriff’s office requested to apply for an over $43,000 grant that would give school resource officers body cameras. The grant requires a 50% match from council which will come from the sheriff’s office budget.
The coroner’s office also requested to apply for a $240,000 grant to help improve services.
The council approved both requests.
