The Lions did not make the most of the great field position they had Monday in part because of two turnovers Jared Goff had on the plus side of the field. Goff lost a fumble on a blindside sack on the Lions’ second series and threw an interception just before halftime. The fumble wasn’t totally Goff’s fault, but the interception was a poorly thrown pass and the type of mistake he has to avoid. In addition to the turnovers, Goff missed Isaac TeSlaa on a fourth-and-2 throw to the end zone and the offense was a miserable 3 for 13 on third downs.
