LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Nevada Democratic Rep. Steven Horsford is introducing a new bill he believes will help relieve some of the impacts the government shutdown has had on federal employees.

Horsford said that Nevada workers are already seeing the consequences in their paychecks and that both parties should be working together to prioritize a solution.

"I've been out talking to TSA workers, air traffic controllers, people at the VA hospital who only received a partial paycheck last week and are expected to not receive any pay this Friday even though they are considered essential workers. They are still showing up, they are still providing essential services," Horsford expressed.
