Jyoti Gondek has officially conceded the 2025 Calgary municipal election, ending her bid for a second term as mayor after a highly contested campaign that saw shifting voter sentiment across the city.

Gondek’s concession came late Monday evening following the release of unofficial results from the City of Calgary, which showed her trailing well behind challengers Jerome Farkas and Sonya Sharp with over two-thirds of polls reporting.
