LAKE LINDEN — What a difference a week makes on the gridiron for the Lake Linden- Hubbell Lakes. A week ago, the Lakes were on the receiving end of a lopsided loss (42-12) to the Gogebic Miners. On Saturday, the dished out a 64-28 lopsided loss to the Ironwood Red Devils.
In the eyes of Lakes coach Brett Gervais, it all started with a good week of practice.
“Coming off that homecoming loss last week, it was good to see the guys step up and respond,” he said.
He added that he liked the quick start by his team. It was a 14-0 lead after one.
This included an Ashton Sullivan and a Josh Daavettila touchdown all before the five-minute mark of the first quarter.
