LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Our next cold front is on the way and looks to bring us another chance at some beneficial rainfall for our Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Starting out the morning, temperatures are slowly warming thanks to a southerly wind and increasing cloud cover.

We’ll start the day off with a mixture of sun and clouds and coupled with a gusty southerly wind at times, it will help to boost us into the upper 80s for our highs.

Rain chances will slowly begin to pick up as we head through the second half of the day as we see rain chances beginning just after lunch and continuing through early evening.

It won’t necessarily be widespread rain, but those that do see it will pick up some beneficial rain as most areas are now over 8 inches below normal for the year.
