Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge was the target of an alleged $100,000 extortion threat.
According to court documents released to The Age , Beveridge received a letter in late June demanding the six-figure sum.

It’s alleged Brendon Berry, the son of late boxing trainer Leo Berry, threatened Beveridge in the letter, which demanded payment “in a manner which a reasonable person would regard as menacing”.
The exact contents of the letter are unclear.
The incident prompted the Bulldogs and the AFL to employ extra security for the coach in the Round 17 match against North Melbourne.
