As a journalist and leader of a media organization, I rarely speak out or take a public stance on an issue. This is not because I lack convictions. It is because my credibility as a journalist depends on my ability to report facts without the filter of personal politics. But when freedom of the press and the sanctity of journalism itself come under attack, silence becomes complicity.
