WARREN The man accused of shooting and killing a man in Warren back in August was set to begin his trial on Monday morning.

Court records show the trial for 46-year-old David Hollie was set in Judge Sarah Kovoor's court.

Hollie is charged with murder and having weapons under disability, both with firearm specifications, as well as tampering with evidence, failure to comply and receiving stolen property.

Hollie is accused of shooting 34-year-old Choice Washington on the 300 Block of Scott Street on August 3, 2025. Washington died in the hospital days later.

The jury was selected for this case by the early afternoon.

Testimony is scheduled to continue on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
