The Michigan Association of County Clerks met virtually on Tuesday morning, Oct. 14, to consider ranked choice voting in Michigan, which RankMiVote is seeking to put on the statewide ballot in 2026. The clerk association voted unanimously to oppose the ballot measure.

"I was very happy that we took a stand," said Monroe County Clerk Annamarie Osment. "I just want people to know that it's fundamentally just restructuring Michigan elections."
