SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -A busy Springfield City Council meeting started with a familiar topic, but a surprise move.

The request to rezone the northwest corner of National and Sunshine for office use was on tonight’s agenda. The project is going back to planning and zoning because the developer wants to make a change.

Developer BK&M said it’s to make sure the paperwork is done right for a hotel on the property. That request was approved.

Councilman Craig Hosmer shared his frustration, saying there’s a lack of planning.
