Speaking to reporters, the IGP said that foreign militants operating in the upper reaches have posed a challenge for the past two years, but the counter-militancy grid in Jammu has been strengthened.

“We are strengthening the border protection grid. Very soon, foreign militants hiding in the upper reaches will be neutralised,” the IGP said.

He added that 120 operations are conducted daily in the Jammu Zone as part of routine security measures, whether speculative or pinpoint operations. (KNO)
