LIHUE — With just a week remaining in the Kauai Interscholastic Federation Bowling season, Kauai High School girls have already locked up the championship and will be representing the KIF at the 2025 Hawaii Army National Guard Hawaii High School Athletic Association Bowling State Championship that will contest on Nov. 6-7 at the Schofield Bowling Center on Oahu.
Despite the Red Raider wahine already locking up the title, Waimea High School girls still put on a strong challenge during last week’s matches that rolled at the Kauai Bowl. The Menehune wahine pulled ahead of Kauai by a scant 33 pins — 1868 total pinfall to Kauai’s 1835 — and both teams were awarded 10 points.
High rollers for Waimea belonged to Kyana Sagawa-Pananganan who posted a 171 pinfall in her third match, and Tiana Abal
