Cassidy Ritchie's picture was on display during the sentencing for Chris Morland, the man who murdered her. Ritchie's brother, Kyle, and other family and supporters wore domestic violence awareness shirts with Cassidy's face on them.

They are relieved the judge sentenced Morland to life in prison without parole.

"He's a demon and he deserves to rot in prison for the rest of his life," said Kyle Ritchie, Cassidy's brother. "I hope everything we said today has an impact inside of him that he has to live with."

Cassidy's family took turns reading statements to the courtroom, including Morland, who became emotional at times. Joey David, Cassidy's son, said his mom was always there for him and he is devastated she will never get to meet her grandkids.
