The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has arrested an Athens, Tennessee man for uploading child sexual abuse material to the internet using Discord.

The TBI said agents arrested 25-year-old Micah Boring as part of an ongoing child exploitation case.

Athens police and the TBI executed a search warrant at Boring's home and say they found "thousands of images" of child sexual abuse material on his electronic devises.

Boring was indicted on September 16 and arrested on September 30.

Authorities charged Boring with the following:

1 count of sexual exploitation of a minor - over 100 images

1 count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor - over 25 images

Boring was booked into the McMinn County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
