Bengaluru : A dermatologist has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a 21-year-old woman during a consultation at his private clinic in central Bengaluru.

As per a recent media report in the Times of India, the local police arrested the 56-year old doctor after the woman lodged a complaint accusing him of taking advantage of her being alone at the clinic on Saturday evening. He has been remanded in judicial custody.

A case has been registered under Sections 75 (sexual harassment) and 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

According to the complaint, the woman alleged that on the pretext of examining her skin infection, the doctor touched her inappropriately and continued to harass her for nearly 30 minutes. Sh
