WILKES-BARRE — A woman charged by Wilkes-Barre City police with assaulting a man with a baseball bat were dismissed during a preliminary hearing in Luzerne County Central Court on Monday.
Aijiah Grier-Wright, 33, was charged After a 48-year-old man reported she struck him several times with an aluminum baseball bat during a domestic dispute at a residence on South Franklin Street on Sept. 17, according to city police.
A district judge dismissed charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, possessing instruments of crime, harassment and two counts of simple assault against Grier-Wright when the man failed to appear to testify at the preliminary hearing.
