The air quality across Haryana deteriorated sharply on Tuesday, plunging multiple areas, including Gurugram, into the 'very poor' category according to the Air Quality Index (AQI).
At 4 PM, the 24-hour average AQI was reported, revealing Jind at a staggering 421 and Dharuhera at 412, placing them in the 'severe' category according to metrics established by environmental authorities.
While Haryana's pollution levels set off alarms, neighboring Punjab also faced challenges with declining air quality, logging 'poor' readings in key cities such as Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana.
