INDIANAPOLIS -- Crews are investigating after injuries were reported after a gas main rupture on the near south side on Tuesday morning.

The rupture occurred in the 2100 block of S Meridian Street at around 6:56 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to officials with the Indianapolis Fire Department, one firefighter was taken to a local hospital with injuries after the reported rupture. Another firefighter with injuries was taken back to the firehouse.
