State Sen. Majority Leader Jack Johsnon flexed his broad Republican establishment support during his annual Boots and Jeans, BBQ and Beans fundraiser on Sunday, in a preview of his 2026 reelection bid.

The event was attended by hundreds at The Factory at Franklin’s Liberty Hall and was emceed by right-wing radio host Matt Murphy, who said that while he doesn’t “do endorsements,” he “support[s] the hell out of Jack Johnson.”

The event also featured remarks from U.S. Sens. Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, U.S. Rep. Tim Burchett, Republican 7th District Congressional nominee Matt Van Epps , and activist Robby Starbuck , who is now advising tech giant Meta on how to prevent political bias with its AI systems after he sued the company.
