A New Hampshire man allegedly showed up uninvited to a Lebanon man’s home Monday afternoon and began stabbing him.

Jeremy Potvin, 35, has been charged with attempted murder, according to York County Sheriff William King.

Potvin allegedly showed up at the 52-year-old’s West Lebanon Road home about 2 p.m. King said that Potvin knew the victim but had just showed up uninvited at his home Monday.

The pair got into an argument and then Potvin began to stab the victim, leaving him with seven serious stab wounds to the back, chest, face and head, according to King.

The victim fled and was found by deputies on Carl Broggi Highway. He was then taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
