WILKES-BARRE TWP. — A man from Wilkes-Barre Township was arraigned on allegations he received and shared child sexual abuse images.
James Patrick Alpaugh, 35, of Summit Street, was charged by agents with the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office with 57 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials, 43 counts of dissemination of photo or film of child sex acts and one count of criminal use of communication facility. Alpaugh was arraigned by District Judge Michael Dotzel of Wilkes-Barre Township and released after posting $25,000 bail.
According to a news release from the state Attorney General’s Office, the investigation alleged Alpaugh was sending and received videos containing child sexual abuse materials through a social media app.
