A 28-year-old man was killed after a fight, allegedly over firecrackers and a broken chain, turned violent in Gujarat’s Junagadh on Diwali night.
The incident took place around 1 am on October 21, when Divyang Vinod Chudasama (28) was out with his friends bursting firecrackers. A sutli bomb (a type of firecracker) from a group across the street allegedly went off next to a child in Chudasama’s group. This allegedly led to a verbal altercation and a minor scuffle.
When Chudasma realised a chain that he wore around his neck broke during the scuffle, he went back to argue with the group. This time, things turned violent, leading to an “assault with pipes and sticks” and a blow to the victim’s chest causing his death.
According to the FIR filed at the ‘C’ Division police station in Junagadh
