The NYPD on Tuesday released surveillance footage of the woman wanted for abandoning a newborn girl on a subway platform at Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan.

The woman, who appears to be in her 40s, was wearing a red head scarf, pink pants, glasses, and a multi-colored top that might be a hospital gown, officials said. Cops are asking the public’s help identifying her and tracking her down.

She was caught on surveillance video bringing the infant, wrapped in a blanket, into the 34th St.-Penn Station subway stop about 9 a.m. Monday.

She left the baby at the foot of a staircase on the downtown No. 1 train platform and exited the station, police said.
