CLAY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- A new plan to build on the property of the old Hinerwadel's location in Clay has sparked traffic concerns.

On Monday, October 20, the Clay town board meeting provided residents with an opportunity to weigh in on the potential rezoning of the property.

At least eight members of the public spoke with the developer's representative, raising questions and concerns about traffic and changes to roadways.

Some of those concerns address preexisting traffic along West Taft Rd.

The developer outlined a plan to put more than 80 homes in one section of the new development, as well as a daycare and an office space in another section. The daycare and the office space run along West Taft Road.

Town board members decided to keep the Public comment portion of the meeting open.
