A Wallingford man has been accused of possessing child sexual abuse materials after police allege he uploaded multiple illegal images to his Verizon Wireless account.

Roy C. Edwards, 48, turned himself in on Oct. 13 in connection with a warrant charging him with one count of first-degree possession of child pornography, according to Lt. Stephen S. Jaques, Jr. of the Wallingford Police Department .

Jaques said the investigation began in December 2024, when police received a complaint from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children . At the time, Jaques alleges, Edwards had uploaded multiple images containing child sexual abuse material to his Verizon Wireless account.
