Diwali celebrations turned into a nightmare for many across India as multiple fire incidents were reported, causing injuries and significant property loss. Delhi alone saw over 250 burn wounds reported, with cases also emerging from Jaipur and Shimla.

Among the various incidents, a building near Rashtrapati Bhavan caught fire, demanding quick action from authorities who dispatched five fire tenders. In west Delhi's Mohan Garden, seven people were rescued from a blaze that erupted in a residential building. The Safdarjung Hospital, India's largest burn unit, reported 129 burn cases, the most from any hospital.
