JAMESTOWN — The James River Humane Society is hosting its first-ever Virtual Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest.

People are encouraged to submit their pet (cat, dog, guinea pig, goat, ferret, etc.) in their cutest costume in this online photo contest. The fee is $10 per entry and votes are $1 each.

A gift basket will be given to the pet with the most votes. The contest runs through Nov. 2.
