NIXA, Mo. (KY3) - People forced out of their homes in Nixa for months because of a major sewer main failure are getting answers.

“Everything was going smooth up until a month and a half ago,” said Ian O’Malley.

He bought a home in Nixa’s Forest Heights subdivision. But soon after moving in, he and his family had to move out after losing water and sewer service.

“We’re currently living in an apartment. We thought things were going smoothly and now we are balancing two home options, trying to figure out where to move my wife and little one soon to be,” he said.

“This is just natural forces at work,” said Tyler Bussell.
