FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The WVU Cancer Institute at WVU Medicine Fairmont Medical Center (FMC) opened its new infusion center yesterday (Oct. 20). This expansion, along with the Medical Oncology Clinic that opened last month and the hospital’s Radiation Oncology services, provides Marion County residents a full range of cancer care in their own community.

Located on the third floor of FMC, the new Cancer and Infusion Center offers a variety of cancer treatments, supportive care, and ongoing care and testing services, including:

Central line care and maintenance

Chemotherapy

Immunotherapy infusions and injections

Injectable therapy

Intravenous medication administration

Lab specimen collection

Minor procedures and testing

Navigation services

Therapeutic phlebotomy
