LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - If you’re looking to start or continue your educational journey at SOWELA Technical Community College, registration for the 2026 Spring semester begins next week. We spoke with Allison Dering this morning to get the details.

Registration for SOWELA’s Spring 2026 semester starts on Monday, October 27, across all four SOWELA campuses. If you are interested, the registration office says it’s best to register early so you can get the best scheduling options.

Spring classes start on Monday, Jan. 12.

Both new and current students will need to schedule an appointment with their academic advisor. This helps ensure students stay on track with their degree plan and take courses related to their career pursuits.
