A Massachusetts driver died Sunday following a police pursuit and crash on Interstate 93, according to a statement from the New Hampshire State Police.

At 12:51 a.m., a trooper initiated a traffic stop of a blue 2020 Honda Civic for speeding along I-93 northbound near Exit 12, the statement said. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop for the trooper, and a pursuit ensued.

The Honda was seen traveling erratically along the highway, reaching speeds of 120 miles per hour, the statement said.

As the Honda approached Exit 18, the driver attempted to take the off-ramp, but lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, crossed the northbound on-ramp, traveled down an embankment, and struck a tree.
