Ahmedabad’s emergence as an international financial centre has boosted hotel development in the city and top hotel chains are evaluating further development as the city is set to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030.
According to consultancy Hotelivate, Ahmedabad has around 5,000 branded hotel rooms. Another 2,200 plus rooms are under construction, largely in upscale and upper mid-market segments. The next 12-18 months could see fresh signings as hotels ramp up their presence in the city.
