There was a real trickle of optimism surrounding the New York Giants after they defeated the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, 34-17, on Thursday, Oct. 9. Despite having a 2-4 record, it looked like they had found a capable starting quarterback in rookie Jaxson Dart, running back Cam Scattebo was looking like a stud and their front four was being very productive.

It looked like New York was on its way to another win when it led the Denver Broncos 19-0 early in the fourth quarter on Sunday. But it completely collapsed and lost, 33-32, on a last-second field goal by Will Lutz.
