EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio - A Lorain man who was critically wounded in a shooting at an East Cleveland gas station last month has died, according to police.

Jermaine Warith, 50, died Friday at a hospital after an incident Sept. 26 at the Mobil station at 15319 Euclid Ave. East Cleveland authorities responded to the scene around 7:10 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.

Officers found Warith with multiple gunshot wounds and administered aid until emergency medical services arrived. He was transported to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where he remained in the intensive care unit and underwent multiple surgeries before being placed on life support.

Police have not indicated whether any arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
