BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Police arrested a 24-year-old man for firing a gun during Southern University’s homecoming game Saturday, with drone technology helping officers quickly locate the suspect among thousands of people on campus.

Muhsin Morehouse was taken into custody and is being held at East Baton Rouge Parish prison. Police say Morehouse was shooting at another person while on Southern University’s campus. No one was hurt in the incident.

Enhanced security measures in place

The arrest was part of increased security measures during the homecoming event, according to police officials.

“The big thing is that we put additional patrol units in and around the areas of our universities during those home games,” said Jeff LeDuff, assistant chief administrative officer.
