Stranger Things bosses have confirmed that fans shouldn’t be looking out for an appearance from Joseph Quinn in the long-awaited fifth season.

The British actor joined the award-winning Netflix show in its fourth run, which premiered in 2022, playing D&D club leader Eddie Munson.

In the season four finale, Joseph’s character was seen sacrificing himself to protect Dustin Henderson, but given Stranger Things’ often unpredictable twists and turns, some were still left pondering if the Marvel star could return as Eddie in some capacity when the show returns later this year.

However, co-creator Matt Duffer is now making a point of managing fans’ expectations.
