BAY VILLAGE, Ohio – City Council received an update Monday night from FirstEnergy about efforts to improve electric service reliability in parts of the city.

One of the new developments mentioned was that FirstEnergy is now investigating power outages in a second Bay Village neighborhood on the far west side, west of Bradley Road.

Nick Katsaros, a FirstEnergy local engagement specialist, addressed City Council. He first discussed an Oct. 7 meeting that FirstEnergy and the city administration held with residents of one neighborhood off Lincoln Road, west of Dwight, which experienced 18 power outages over 24 months. Not all neighborhood residents lost power during all of those outages.
