LOUISVILLE, Ky. — This holiday season, an American classic is being re-imagined with a national tour of "Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol."
Set in the 1930s, the musical turns Ebenezer Scrooge into the owner of a mining company town in East Tennessee. Scrooge is visited by his dead business partner and the ghosts of his past, who help him realize what’s really important in life: love. The show combines Charles Dickens’ story and the music of Parton.
Smoky MountainThe national tour will make three stops with five performances in Kentucky. The show kicks off at Riverpark Center in Owensboro on Saturday, Nov. 15. There will also be a performance at the Carson Center in Paducah on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Those will be followed up with three performances at the Lexington Opera House on
