Longtime Springfield Township firefighter Lt. Jonathan Miner, 50, was killed this week at his home after suffering a traumatic injury, the township fire department announced in a post on Facebook Monday.
Miner died at a local hospital Sunday, Oct. 19, the Springfield Township Fire Department said in a release. First responders were dispatched just after 10:30 a.m. Sunday for a reported traumatic injury after "something had just blown up" while a man was working on a project in his driveway.
The patient was confirmed to be off-duty firefighter Lt. Miner.
