If you have some old medications you want to safely throw away, you can drop them off at several locations throughout the Tennessee Valley this weekend.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 25 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at most locations unless otherwise noted.

The day allows people to dispose of:

Unused, unwanted and expired prescriptions

Over-the-counter medications

Vape pens or other e-cigarette devices

There will also be resources for medication safety as well as treatment and recovery.

In Hamilton County, residents can drop off their drugs at one of the following locations:

Mt. Canaan - 4801 Highway 58

Food City, Red Bank - 3901 Dayton Boulevard

Walgreens - 3605 Brainerd Road

Walgreens - 2289 Gunbarrel Road

Walgreens, East Ridge - 5301 Ringgold Road
