In a year when it seems like every major luxury brand hired a new designer from one of its competitors, Hermès is looking to the next generation to lead its menswear collections. On Tuesday, the French leather-goods house announced that British designer Grace Wales Bonner, 35, is its new creative director of men’s ready-to-wear. She succeeds Véronique Nichanian, who held the position for 37 years and announced her retirement last week. After Nichanian wraps up her tenure with a final runway show in January, Wales Bonner will have some time to hone her vision for the brand. She will present her first collection for the house in January 2027.
