LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - An altercation at work is what set off a tragic sequence of events for David Palacios just weeks ago. That’s according to his mother.

On October 11th early in the morning, her son was in the middle of his shift working at a warehouse here in Laredo when an incident of some kind caused him to be released of his duties that day.

The mother says after his release he was unable to use the travel vans of the company to head back home, so he called his brother to let him know what happened and that he would be walking home from Mile Marker 13.

Around 3:30 in the morning was the last time any family member heard from Palacios. At around 11 a.m. a person passing by found Palacios unconscious and without any of his belongings plus badly injured, this time miles away on the
