FIFA give security guarantees to Irish party for U-17 World Cup finals in Qatar after recent Israeli attack on Doha

The FAI say they have been given assurances from FIFA over the issue of safety for Ireland’s players and their families who are travelling to the U-17 World Cup finals in Qatar next month.

Manager Colin O’Brien named his squad for the tournament, Ireland’s first time to play in a world finals at U-17 level, a huge achievement for the Irish to get to a tournament where the likes of Spain and the Netherlands missed out on qualification.
