WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS) – Millions of student loan borrowers will see their debts forgiven under programs previously blocked by the Trump administration.

The news comes following a new agreement between the administration, the U.S. Department of Education, and the American Federation of Teachers.

The deal applies to borrowers enrolled in two repayment plans: the Pay as You Earn plan and the Income Contingent Repayment plan.

More than 2.5 million people are expected to qualify for loan forgiveness under these programs.
