Bristol Zoo slams 'ridiculous' claims gorillas have been abandoned View 2 Images
The CEO of the charity that runs Bristol Zoo Gardens has said that the idea that gorillas have been abandoned at the zoo's former site within the city is "ridiculous."
The strong words came after the zoo was forced to defend their treatment of eight gorillas who live at the old enclosure in Clifton , which closed to the public three years ago .
The site, near the Clifton Suspension Bridge, is still home to the troop of gorillas after other animals were moved to the new Bristol Zoo Gardens site, near Cribbs Causeway .
